Contact Details & Visiting Directions
Lilstock is on the coastal edge of the Quantock Hills in West Somerset, UK.
It
lies a mile and a half north of the main
A39 road running from
Bridgwater to
Minehead.
Click here for a map showing the route from the
A39 to Beggars Roost Plants.

Bridgwater is beside the
M5 motorway, leaving this at Exit 23 from the north
(Bristol), and at
Exit 24 from the south (Taunton and
Exeter). The minor road,
signed to
Kilton and
Lilstock, leaves the
A39 between the villages of
Holford
and
Kilve, thirteen miles west of
Bridgwater. The view photograph, taken from
beside this minor road, looks north, down over the hamlet of
Kilton, to
Beggars Roost,
a red-roofed white cottage, visible near the cliff line, just left of
Steep Holm
Island out in the channel.
WE ARE ALWAYS OPEN AND LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING YOU !
But because of our out-of-the-way position, it is essential to
make contact before coming. Outside events may leave the nursery unattended for
a day, so
PLEASE, get in touch before risking a useless journey. It helps us
too, to get orders ready, and to discuss stocks with you, as our rarer plants
may be in small numbers.

The telephone number is: 01278 741519Both the West Somerset coast and the Quantock Hills are areas of
Outstanding Natural Beauty, so when you come to the nursery, you may feel like
making an expedition of it. There are pubs which do food in
Holford,
Kilve and
Shurton, but one of the nicest places is the
Chantry
Tea
Gardens, near the beach car park in Sea Lane,
Kilve. Their cream teas are well known, and they
also do light lunches (or more by arrangement). Their phone number is
